Applied Kinesiology /Muscle Testing ~ My chiropractor taught me the benefits of kinesiology.  Since he’s not always there when I’m shopping for products and food, he taught me the ability to muscle test myself to determine whether a product or food was good for my body. The questionable product or food is placed in your left hand palm up and you stretch your arm straight out. Press down on your left arm with your right hand saying this item (describe it) is good for me. If your arm stays and does not move, the food or product is good for you ~ it makes your body strong. If your arm lowers, the food or product is not good for you ~ it makes your body weaker. It works! There are numerous ways to muscle test…Discuss the benefits and methods of muscle testing with your chiropractor.

PANNA (Pesticide Action Network North America) ~ 415-981-1771/ www.PANNA.org Pesticides are hazardous to human health and the environment, undermine local and global food security, and threaten agricultural biodiversity. Yet these pervasive chemicals are aggressively promoted by multinational corporations, government agencies, and other players in this more than $35 billion a year industry. PANNA (Pesticide Action Network North America) works to replace pesticide use with ecologically sound and socially just alternatives. As one of five PAN Regional Centers worldwide, we link local and international consumer, labor, health, environment, and agriculture groups into an international citizens' action network. This network challenges the global proliferation of pesticides, defends basic rights to health and environmental quality, and works to insure the transition to a just and viable society. Other PAN Regional Centers include PAN Africa, PAN Asia/Pacific, PAN Europe and PAN Latin America. See the PAN International Web site. PANNA works closely with and is a founding member of Californians for Pesticide Reform (CPR).  This organization is advancing alternatives to pesticides worldwide! Wouldn't you rather live in a Pesticide Free Community, Pesticide Free Nation, and a Pesticide Free World! Together, we can make a difference. To learn more, visit their website today!

I have found in my own course of study some very interesting education about the significant, genetically imprinted, differences between men and women. These differences are things that have us do and be a certain way.  By understanding them, we can choose to allow these traits to dictate our life, or we can create extraordinary ones! This new education has enhanced my personal wisdom in taking care of my own health while being very productive in the world. Just as important, it has significantly enhanced all of my relationships!

I discovered the PAX programs beginning with Celebrating Men Satisfying Women.  It was life changing!   So much so that I  became  a licensed partner with PAX to share this work with my clients and colleagues.

Suggestions For Handling “Allergy Avoidance” Awkward Situations

  • In most instances a simple answer should suffice. Try this reply... Fill in the blank with whatever word is appropriate for your allergies ~ any fragrance in any form (perfume, cologne, lotion/crème, hair products, clothes detergent, dryer sheets, candles, air freshener, etc.), paint, pesticide, insecticide, cleaning supplies, 2nd hand smoke, chlorine, food smells (coffee, meat, garlic, mint, etc.)
  • "My allergies make some things difficult and even unbearable for me.”____" is one of those things. I hope you understand".
  • Try not to over think the awkwardness of the situation or the ignorance of certain people. Accept yourself and the challenges you face.
  • Keep your simple reply in mind and use it to minimize the jolt you feel when confronted by an uncomfortable situation.
  • An honest reply will never fail you.

Boycott Factory Farmed Food ~ 607-583-2225 x 221 / www.farmsanctuary.org/learn/factory-farming Did you know Factory farms dominate U.S. food production, employing abusive practices that maximize agribusiness profits at the expense of the environment, our communities, animal welfare, and even our health!    What you eat matters to you, the animals, the environment!  The power each one of us wields with our food dollars is amazing.

5-Step Animal Welfare Rating Standards ~ 877-427-5783 / www.globalanimalpartnership.org  At every meal, we can help move food business in directions that speak to our interests—whether in farmer advocacy, food safety, environmental protection, human health, rural sustainability, or animal welfare.  Concern for the treatment of animals in agriculture continues to grow. Surveys conducted across the United States tell us that 95% of Americans say that how farm animals are cared for is important to them and 76% believe that the well-being of farm animals is more important than low meat prices.

For those of us who want to support agricultural practices that benefit animals and farmers alike, we can trust in the 5-Step Animal Welfare Rating Standards label.  With the conclusion of our exclusive pilot program with Whole Foods Market, chicken, pork, turkey, and beef products sold in their stores now inform consumers how those animals were raised. New partners, including Roots Market, are already offering Step-rated products to their customers and we’re in exciting discussions with other North American retailers, both restaurant companies and grocers, and will soon be reaching out to partners beyond.  Learn more about farm animal welfare and how the well-being of animals in agriculture is being prioritized around the world.

By choosing to support higher welfare farmers and ranchers, we can collectively make a significant difference in the lives of billions of animals. Each one of us, in our daily lives, can improve the lives of animals simply by choosing to support those farmers and ranchers who have a commitment to providing higher welfare to the animals they raise.  Look for the distinctive 5-Step labels and vote for higher welfare farming at every meal with your food dollars.
